We are a family owned and operated grocer in Fraser, Michigan. Our location on 14 Mile Rd between Garfield and Utica makes us a convenient stop for many surrounding communities. We aim to have everything our customers need in one place so they don’t have to visit various stores.
Our History
Schott's Market was a general store during the middle 1800's. Since then the market has moved a few times and engaged in business as a General Store, Post Office, Saloon and Hotel.
1950s - Fred and Alfresd Schott moved the market to its current location. At this time the store included women's and children's clothing.
1970s - The Schott family ran the store until 1971. It was sold to a new owner who then filed bankruptcy a year later. The Schott Family bought the business back and sold it again in 1975.
1978 - Terry "Boss" Dehko purchased the store in 1978 and operated it until selling in 2015.
2019 - The Dehko family bought the business back and re-established Schott’s Market. History repeats!
2019-Present - The store has been remodeled and updated with one common theme over many years, quality meats and superior personal service. Sandy Thomas and Steve Dehko (2 of Terry's children) currently operate the store. Terry still comes to work almost every day. He continues to be a huge Fraser community supporter, a legacy his children plan maintain.
